Who Luften is and why we started.
Luften was founded by plant managers and chemists who wanted real expertise back on the floor. Three decades later we serve more than 1,200 facilities across North America with engineered hygiene and air-quality programs.
Our story
Luften is dedicated to eliminating the persistent trash odors that affect New York City every day. After years of research on neutralizing odors at the molecular level and refining our proprietary nebulizer technology, we have developed an odor management system that delivers safe, effective and reliable results for commercial and residential spaces.
How the company grew
2018 — The breakthrough: Luften launched with a singular focus on molecular odor neutralization, moving beyond masking scents.
2020 — Essential response: Luften scaled to support high-rise residential and healthcare facilities during peak demand.
2023 — The all-inclusive model: Luften moved from product provider to full-service maintenance partner, integrating wastewater, drain solutions and ambient scenting into a single, accountable program.
Mission and approach
Our mission is to make the buildings people live, work and heal in feel effortlessly clean, without anyone noticing the system that gets it there. We diagnose first, design second, and stay accountable for outcomes, not invoices or service tickets.
Where we work
Luften serves facilities nationwide. In the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) and the cities we have pages for, our technicians install and service on site. For farther locations, we mainly ship the systems, chemistry and refills, and arrange on-site visits by project.
