How long does installation take?
Most equipment installations complete in 2–4 hours per system. Larger commercial scenting installations may require a half-day with HVAC contractor coordination.
Why it happens
The time required for installation varies based on the system and site conditions. Stand-alone units are generally quick to set up, while systems that integrate with building infrastructure, such as HVAC scenting or plumbing-tied dosing equipment, are more involved. The goal is always to minimize disruption to building operations.
What to check
To ensure a smooth installation, confirm that the planned location has adequate space and access to required utilities like power. Clearing the area beforehand and scheduling any necessary coordination with your own building staff or other contractors can significantly streamline the process. A pre-installation site survey helps identify these requirements in advance.
When to call a professional
Contact a professional if you have a persistent odor and the source is not obvious. Sewer smells, in particular, should be addressed with urgency as they can indicate the presence of harmful gases. Attempting to fix complex issues like ejector pits, lift stations, or deep drain blockages without proper training and equipment is unsafe.
How Luften handles it
